Qatar Airways confirmed its order for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner on 11th November 2007 when it signed a firm order for 30 aircraft along with 30 options.
Deliveries were initially expected to commence during 2010 but production delays at Boeing meant the first aircraft was not delivered until November 2012.
The cabin layout chosen saw Qatar Airways adopt the reverse herringbone Business

On departure from Boeing the initial aircraft positioned to Victorville, Arizona where in flight internet connectivity systems were installed.
The first aircraft delivered was A7-
