Qatar Airways B787-8 A7-BDB Durban Bird Strike.

Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8 A7-BDB operating the final sector of QR1368 Doha – Johannesburg – Durban encountered a bird strike on approach to Durban causing damage to the radome. As a result the return QR1369 was cancelled.

Qatar Airways A320 A7-ADI Doha Test Flight.

Qatar Airways A320 A7-ADI, which has not operated in service since returning from Ankara yesterday following a technical diversion on 21st August, undertook a Doha – Doha test flight late this morning as QR9901.

Following the technical issue it encountered yesterday, Qatar Airways A330-200 A7-ACB positioned Dammam – Doha as QR3262 late this afternoon then returned to service operating QR930 Doha – Clark.

Following the A330-200 technical issue at Dammam yesterday, Qatar Airways A330-200 A7-ACD positioned Doha – Dammam as QR3461 in the early hours of this morning in order to operate yesterday’s delayed QR1155 Dammam – Doha.

Qatar Airways B787-8 A7-BCI Muscat Rescue Mission.

Following the earlier diversion of QR579 Delhi – Doha to Muscat, Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8 A7-BCI positioned Doha – Muscat as QR3463 this afternoon in order to continue the diverted flight, routing Muscat – Doha using QR579 as its callsign.

Qatar Airways B787-8 A7-BCE QR569 Muscat Diversion.

Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8 A7-BCE operating QR579 Delhi – Doha departed Delhi four and a half hours late this morning, having taken four hours to be turned around, and subsequently diverted to Muscat. It is not clear at present whether the diversion was due to a technical issue or crew hours.

Qatar Airways A320 A7-AHT Ankara Rescue Mission.

Following the earlier technical return of QR256 Ankara – Doha to Ankara, Qatar Airways A320 A7-AHT positioned Doha – Ankara as QR3451 this evening in order to operate the delayed QR256 Ankara – Doha.

Following  the earlier return of QR240 Istanbul- Doha to Istanbul, Qatar Airways A330-300 A7-AEM positioned Doha – Istanbul as QR3451 late this afternoon in order to operate the delayed QR240 Istanbul – Doha.

Qatar Airways today pulled reservations for its Doha – Sarajevo A320 service, announced on March 9th for a September launch date but subsequently delayed until November. No new launch date has been announced.

Qatar Airways A320 A7-AHH QR1443 Jeddah Diversion.

Qatar Airways A320 A7-AHH operating QR1443 Doha – Asmara (depart Doha 16th August) diverted to Jeddah in the early hours of this morning due to weather at Asmara. The aircraft later continued Jeddah – Asmara as QR1443D however the return QR1444 has been delayed until late tonight due to crew being out of hours.

Following its diversion to Jeddah and return to Doha whilst operating QR1443 Doha – Asmara yesterday, Qatar Airways A320 A7-ADC operated Doha – Jeddah – Asmara this morning as QR7471, returning Asmara – Khartoum – Doha as QR7472.

Qatar Airways A330-200 A7-ACD arrived into Dubai late last night as QR1014 from Doha, however this morning’s return QR1015 was cancelled due to a technical issue. The aircraft was able to position Dubai – Doha early in the evening as QR3262.

Qatar Airways A350-900 A7-ALJ Delivered.

Qatar Airways A350-900 A7-ALJ was delivered Toulouse – Doha this evening as QR3350. The aircraft is in 36J/247Y configuration and Large Logo/Medium Oryx livery and is the tenth A350-900 for the airline.
