Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8 A7-BCO was accepted today and delivered Charleston – Victorville for IFE fitting. The aircraft is in 22J/232Y configuration and Large Logo/Medium Oryx livery. This brings the Qatar Airways B787-8 fleet up to 15 aircraft.

Qatar Airways Boeing 777-2DZLR A7-BBD operated the Buenos Aires – Sao Paulo sector of QR772 Buenos Aires – Sao Paulo – Doha (depart Buenos Aires 26th August) arriving into Sao Paulo in the early hours of this morning. However the onward service to Doha was cancelled due to a technical issue with the aircraft.

Qatar Airways Boeing 777-3DZER A7-BEC was delivered Paine Field – Doha this morning as QR3251. This brings the Boeing 777-300ER fleet up to 27 aircraft.

Qatar Airways B787-8 A7-BCN Ankara Rescue Mission.

Following the earlier Boeing 787-8 technical diversion, Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8 A7-BCN positioned Doha – Ankara as QR3250 this afternoon in order to continue the diverted QR159 Doha – Copenhagen routing Ankara – Copenhagen as QR159A. The aircraft will overnight at Copenhagen and then operate today’s delayed QR160 Copenhagen – Doha as QR160D.

Qatar Airways A330-300 A7-AEH QR23 Fighter Escort.

Qatar Airways A330-300 A7-AEH operating QR23 Doha – Manchester was on approach to Manchester when a passenger claimed to have an explosive device on board. An RAF Typhoon jet was scrambled to accompany the aircraft to Manchester where A7-AEH landed safely and taxiied to a remote apron with full emergency service response. No device was found. The return QR24 was delayed by around six hours.
