Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8 A7-BCB, which has been out of service at Doha since 22nd July, returned to traffic today operating QR25 Doha – Frankfurt. There have been reports that fire crews attended the aircraft following maintenance on 22nd July, with Qatar Airways making a statement that the lengthy downtime was because ” a number of technical components required replacement”.

Qatar Airways today announced a three times weekly Doha – Addis Ababa A320 service to commence on 18th September 2013. Schedules are as follows:

QR530 Doha 2215 – Addis Ababa 0140+1 Mondays, Wednesdays,Saturdays
QR531 Addis Ababa 0250 – Doha 0615 Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays.

Qatar Airways Boeing 787-8 A7-BCD was delivered Victorville – Doha this afternoon after the completion of in flight entertainment system fitting. This brings the Boeing 787-8 fleet up to six aircraft.
