Following yesterday’s technical issue Airbus A321 A7-ADS operated yesterday’s QR477 Athens – Doha today as QR477D.

A321 A7-ADS Athens Overnight Delay.

Qatar Airways A321 A7-ADS arrived into Athens as QR476 from Doha today however the return QR477 has been delayed overnight indicating a technical issue with the aircraft.

Dhaka Service Increase.

Qatar Airways will increase service on the Doha – Dhaka route from 11 to 14 x weekly from 28th October 2012. The mixed A320 A330-200/300 schedule is yet to be finalised in GDS Systems.

Qatar Airways Add Maputo Tag to Johannesburg Flights.

Qatar Airways today announced that it will add a Johannesburg – Maputo tag onto its QR584/QR585 Doha – Johannesburg service three times a week commencing 31st October 2012. Timings are:

QR584 Doha 0105 – 0825 Johannesburg 0935 – Maputo 1040

QR585 Maputo 1210 – 1315 Johannesburg 1425 – Doha 2325.

Flights will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays with Boeing 777-300ERs.

Qatar Airways becomes the first of the big three Middle East carriers to add Mozambique to their network.

Qatar Airways Japan Services to Split.

Qatar Airways is to cease its Doha – Osaka – Tokyo Narita service on 27th October 2012 and replace it with new direct daily services to both cities from October 28th.

Timings are:

QR802 Doha 0130 – Osaka Kansai 1630

QR803 Osaka Kansai 0020 – Doha 0500.

Service to be operated by Airbus A330-200s.

A340-600 A7-AGD Returns from Paris.

Following its technical issue encountered on 6th June Airbus A340-600 operated the delayed QR20 Paris CDG – Doha of 6th June in the early hours of this morning as QR20D.

Qatar Airways Airbus A340-600 A7-AGD operated QR19 Doha – Paris CDG today however the return QR20 has been delayed indefinitely indicating a technical issue with the aircraft.

A320 A7-ADI Returns from Tripoli.

Following the technical issue it encountered on 3rd June Qatar Airways Airbus A320 A7-ADI operated the delayed QR511 Tripoli – Alexandria – Doha of 3rd June in the early hours of this morning as QR511D.

A320 A7-ADI Tripoli Technical Issue.

Qatar Airways Airbus A320 arrived into Tripoli this afternoon as QR510 from Doha and Alexandria however the return QR511 has been cancelled indicating a technical issue with the aircraft.

Qatar Airways Terminate UNITED Codeshares.

Qatar Airways today removed codeshare flights on UNITED services effective 15th September 2012. These codeshares provided links from London Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris CDG and Munich to the USA and provided onward connections from New York JFK to Los Angeles and San Francisco and from Washington Dulles to 54 UNITED destinations in the USA.

Kathmandu A320 Swap.

Following the diversion of Airbus A320 A7-ADC operating QR354 Doha – Kathmandu into Lucknow yesterday the aircraft continued to Kathmandu this morning. However instead of returning as yesterday’s delayed QR355 Kathmandu – Doha it instead operated today’s scheduled Qr353 Kathmandu – Doha.

Meanwhile sister A7-AHC arrived into Kathmandu as QR352 from Doha and operated yesterday’s delayed QR355 back using callsign QR355D.

A320 A7-ADA Beirut Extra.

Qatar Airways Airbus A320 A7-ADA operated an extra Doha – Beirut rotation today as QR1426/QR1427.
